MDP on Digital Marketing

SRISIIM, in association with Good People Relations, organised a one day MDP on “Digital Marketing” on 3rd Feb 2018. The program was organised with an objective to familiarize participants with key aspects of digital marketing with a blend of theory and practice. The MDP was attended by 15 participants holding key positions with progressive companies like National Panasonic, JK Paper Ltd, DS Group etc. The program started with the inaugural address by Prof KK Ahuja, SRISIM, who briefly introduced SRISIIM and the objectives of the program. The MDP was coordinated by Prof Gunjan Tripathi, SRISIM. The first session on Digital Marketing overview was conducted by Mr Rajeev Soni, Rajeev Soni.com. He discussed on past, present and future of Digital Marketing. The session was highly interactive and participants had open discussion on integrated digital marketing strategies, the opportunities and challenges. The second session by Prof S K Pandey, SRISIM, focused on nuances of Digital advertising. The participants had hands on experience and learnt to make their own Google Adwords. The session also focused on YouTube advertising, advertising analytics and developing tracking mechanisms of advertisements returns. Post lunch, the third session on Social Media and Content Strategy was conducted by Mr Alok Agarwal, Bigoyaseo Services. The participants enthusiastically learnt about Social Media marketing, content marketing tactics, tracking and ROI. The fourth session on practical aspects of web analytics and SEO was conducted by Prof Pandey. The participants learnt various SEO tools. As part of learning by doing the participants checked their web presence on different digital platforms, learnt how to use Google analytics for website and web pages and discussed strategies to increase web presence. The programme was concluded with a panel discussion chaired by Dr G P Rao, Founder, Good People Relations and Chairman, Academic Senate, SRISIIM. The participants spoke about the usefulness of the program in accomplishing its objectives and also gave appropriate suggestions for future such programmes. This was the first corporate initiative of SRISIIM and Good People Relations .As a part of building sustained corporate relationship, both plan to hold more programmes in future.
